The Web Objects Wiki at the Computer Science Department (Texas Tech University) is dedicated to helping students and faculty better use the Web Objects Framework as supplied by Apple.

One of the most significant issues for using Web Objects well is having good tools.  For users running Mac OS 10.4.x, note that Web Objects 5.3.x runs great with XCode and provides an easy way to get up and running.

For Leopard users, Web Objects 5.4.x support for XCode 3.0 is for libraries and frameworks only.  The way to develop in this environment is to use the Eclipse plug-in WOLips available at M-Dimension.   There are many tutorials for Web Objects using WOLips both at the WOLips Tutorial Home and from this wiki.

WebObjects is also available to Windows users and developers.   There are a wonderful set of tutorials available at http://web.mac.com/pccdonl/ and M-Dimension's WOLips for Windows.

This wiki supplies podcasts support research and development of the Distributed Computing Lab under the direction Noe Lopez-Benitez, Ph.D. and instruction in the Computer Science Department at Texas Tech University.  To that end, many of the podcasts produced were intended both for this wiki and the Introduction to Database Course (CS 4354) taught Fall 2008 by Susan Urban, Ph.D..  It is our lab's hope keep good relations with our instruction program and to further development and research of good Object Relational - Web oriented techniques.
